Nutrition is the acquisition of energy and materials necessary to sustain life. Nutrition provides two basic needs of living organisms – the need for energy and the need for building materials, which are stored in the form of chemical compounds called nutrients. They can be organic, such as carbohydrates, lipids, proteins and vitamins, and inorganic, such as mineral salts. We consume food, which mainly contains these nutrients. In a broad sense, a diet is a person’s diet (write the quantity and quality of food consumed, as well as observing food intake). 

Balanced diet

A balanced diet is a diet in which the exact proportions and amounts of various nutrients, water and dietary fiber are required to maintain human health. In a broad sense, carbohydrates and fats are needed for energy, proteins for growth and reparative processes, vitamins and trace elements to “protect” health and prevent deficiency diseases. 

The nutritional requirements of each person vary depending on gender, age, activity, body size and ambient temperature (in a warm climate, a person needs less food).
If a person begins to abuse food, he is overtaken by such an ailment, as obesity. The main thing in the early stages of obesity is to adjust your diet and become interested in how to lose weight. Only with a balanced diet can obesity be avoided. 

Water

In living cells, water performs a number of functions. Therefore, it cannot be regarded simply as a nutrient. Water makes up 65-70% of the total body weight. The significance of water becomes clear from the fact that a person deprived of water is able to survive for several days, while without writing it can exist for more than 60 days. 

Alimentary fiber

Dietary fiber is a complex mixture of indigestible compounds, obtained mainly from the cell walls of plants. They are mainly composed of polysaccharides, for example cellulose fibers. When water is absorbed, the volume of fibers increases and this stimulates the progress of the write in the digestive tract. There is evidence that fiber helps lower blood cholesterol, the risk of colon cancer and cholelithiasis.
