Diet with erosion of the stomach, causes, symptoms

Periodic or persistent pain already tortured? Perhaps it was erosion in the stomach. There is constant weakness, sometimes nausea appears, especially if you eat before bedtime. The disease can be diagnosed only after gastroendoscopy . The disease can be detected in 15% of all patients who have been examined.

What is stomach erosion

Erosion of the stomach is a pathology in which a defect appears on the gastric mucosa. This disease does not affect the muscle layer, so if the erosion lasts, then there will not even be scars on the mucous membrane.

Erosions can take any shape and have a size from 0.3 mm to 1.5 cm. The lesions can be single or multiple. If most of the gastric mucosa is affected, then such a disease is called hemorrhagic gastritis. Bleeding usually occurs when there is an ulcer not only in the stomach, but also in the duodenum.

Wounds can appear in any part or part of the stomach. It is believed that this pre-stage stomach ulcer and ulcers may stimulate the development of colon cancer.

There are three types of pathology:

  • primary;
  • secondary, usually a concomitant disease on the background of hepatic or heart failure;
  • malignant, forming against the background of cancer or in the presence of Crohn’s disease.

According to the degree of the course, the chronic and acute forms are distinguished. The first form usually proceeds extremely quickly and it is possible to get rid of it literally in 10 days, in extreme cases, the treatment can last up to 2 months. The chronic form can drag on for years.

Causes of erosion of the stomach

Alas, doctors cannot answer unequivocally and clearly what provokes the appearance of erosions in the stomach. One of the reasons is heredity, against the background of which autoimmune processes appear with the formation of defective cells. It is also believed that the disease is a consequence of inhibition of epithelial recovery.

The provoking factors include:

  • burns;
  • surgical intervention;
  • smoking;
  • trauma to the gastrointestinal tract;
  • sepsis;
  • long-term treatment of NPP;
  • alcohol abuse;
  • fungal diseases of the stomach;
  • constant stress;
  • stagnation of blood;
  • chronic pathologies of the gastrointestinal tract;
  • poisoning, including toxic substances;
  • lack of vitamin B12;
  • heart failure;
  • diabetes;
  • neoplasms in the stomach.

It is also believed that Helicobacter pylori bacteria often act as a provocateur . After all, these bacteria are found in 90% of patients.

Symptoms of erosive gastritis

In the chronic course of the disease, the disease usually affects the body or the fundus of the stomach. In the acute stage, the antrum is usually affected .

There are two types of symptoms. Ulcerative , which is characterized by severe pain, usually manifested after eating. They proceed against the background of heartburn, belching and gag reflex. This symptomatology is typical for both acute and chronic stages.

Hemorrhagic symptoms can be completely asymptomatic, and are typical for people with anemia.

How to eat properly with erosive gastritis

After the restoration of the mucous membrane, a special diet is prescribed. It is based on some basic principles:

  • the complete absence in the diet of foods that can irritate the mucous membrane, these are spicy, sour, fried foods and others;
  • no solid foods, that is, nuts, rusks;
  • spirits are also blacklisted;
  • complete rejection of alcohol;
  • a ban on sour fruits;
  • you will have to give up all foods that can provoke flatulence and bloating, for example, legumes;
  • fatty meals are not allowed.

All meals should be steamed or cooked. Vegetable oils and butter are included without fail. You need to eat at least 5 times throughout the day. In no case should the feeling of hunger be allowed.

Nutrition for acute erosive gastritis

First of all, the diet should not contain stale food products, especially expired ones. They provoke a new exacerbation. All dishes must be stored in the refrigerator for no more than 2 days.

It is necessary to give up salt. As a last resort, there should be very little of it in the diet. Do not be afraid of this, since the same meat contains a lot of sodium ions, which will help improve the digestive process and replace table salt.

The basic principle for this type of disease is a balanced diet, which should contain BJU, vitamins and micro-, macroelements necessary for the existence of the body. Reducing the calorie content of the diet is not required.

Nutrition for chronic erosive gastritis

During the chronic course of the pathology, diet number 2 is prescribed. It is sparing for the gastric mucosa, but involves the rejection of a number of products. Any fresh bread and pastries, dishes with beans are banned, as they cause bloating and fermentation in the digestive tract. All unhealthy foods, including fatty and salty foods, are banned.

It should be remembered that alcoholic beverages are completely prohibited.

What can not be eaten with erosion of the stomach

In addition to the general principles of building a diet with erosion, you will have to abandon:

  • mushrooms;
  • smoked meats;
  • chocolate;
  • fast food ;
  • drinks with gas;
  • ice cream;
  • grilled dishes;
  • any hot spices, sauces and seasonings.

The use of multicomponent dishes is unacceptable.

What is allowed with erosion of the stomach

As with other diseases of the stomach, with erosion, you will have to give up fatty foods. But you can eat cheese and sour cream, with a low fat content. Milk, low-fat varieties of fish and meat, vegetables are allowed, which must be grated so that they do not damage the mucous membrane again. It is also allowed to consume cereals, but with the proviso that the cereals will also be thoroughly grated.

But do not be upset, such a diet does not imply lifelong adherence to it. It’s nice that this pathology responds quite well to treatment.

Types of diets prescribed

There are a number of indications for building a diet in the presence of ulcers on the gastric mucosa. Each is designed to be used at a specific point in the course of the disease.

Diet table number 1

This diet is prescribed at the stage of exacerbation, when the stomach hurts badly. The main purpose of the diet is to stimulate the healing process of ulcers, reduce the inflammatory process, with the full provision of the body with all useful substances. As a rule, it is observed while still in the hospital.

Everything is cooked in water or steamed. The products are ground to a mushy state. The duration is determined by the attending physician, depending on the healing process.

In this case, the patient needs to eat fractionally so as not to overload the gastrointestinal tract and not cause increased secretion of gastric juice.

The energy value of the diet should not exceed 2600 Kcal . Drinking is permissible no more than 1.5 liters per day.

Diet table number 1a

This subtype of the diet is also intended to reduce symptoms and is indicated for severe exacerbations. Everything should be served boiled, steamed. Meals are fractional and regular. Slimy soups are acceptable.

Diet number 1B

The diet of this diet will please the patient more. It is extended and is aimed at reducing the symptoms of stomach irritation, accelerating the regeneration of the mucosal surface.

Almost all dishes are similar to those that are allowed with diet number 1a, but it is already permissible to eat crackers, but not more than 100 grams throughout the day. You can eat meat and fish, in small quantities and always chopped. Soups and cereals can already be cooked not only in water, but also in milk, still with grinding all the components of the dish.

Menu, power mode

An example menu can be composed as follows.

First breakfast:

  • steamed egg omelet;
  • or semolina, in water or milk, depending on the stage and the doctor’s prescription;
  • a decoction of rose hips to replenish the vitamin supply in the body and gain energy.

Lunch:

  • crackers;
  • biscuit, necessarily dried;
  • milk.

Dinner:

  • broccoli soup, ground twice in a blender;
  • or soup with noodles in light meat broth;
  • meatballs;
  • or shredded chicken.

Afternoon snack:

  • baked apples;
  • or uncooked and dried rolls;
  • or yesterday’s pie, with uncooked dough with jam;
  • weakly brewed tea.

Dinner:

  • lamb cooked in a double boiler, always a low-fat slice;
  • or boiled chicken or beef, shredded;
  • or boiled fish;
  • boiled carrots;
  • or boiled potatoes;
  • or boiled rice, always grated, with mucus;
  • mild and low-fat cheese.

Before going to bed, you can drink milk or yogurt.

Regardless of the prescribed diet, it should be followed without fail, the process and speed of recovery depends on it. In addition, such nutrition will allow you to get rid of unpleasant manifestations on the skin of the face, discomfort in the stomach and other organs. You should not count on losing weight especially. Diets are about getting enough calories. But the absence of alcohol will really allow you to remove a few pounds.

Also try to quit smoking, nicotine negatively affects not only the lungs and respiratory organs, but also the stomach and its mucous membrane.

Monitor your health, undergo preventive examinations on a regular basis, do not eat junk food, and no diseases will affect your body.
