Diet for constipation

Constipation is a very common problem of the modern age, which is often faced by almost every inhabitant of the planet. Constipation can indicate malnutrition, impaired metabolism, as well as a number of diseases, which include diseases of the stomach, diseases of the duodenum, polyps of the stomach and hemorrhoids. Occasional constipation, most likely, indicates improper human nutrition, which is manifested by temporary malfunctions in the digestive tract. With prolonged constipation, a person needs to visit a doctor’s consultation to diagnose a disease that led to such a violation. After the doctor establishes the diagnosis, you can start the main fight against the symptom – constipation, which primarily consists of a certain diet.

People’s lifestyle and nutrition

Researchers noted the fact that the number of people suffering from constipation has increased significantly, compared with data from 20 or 30 years ago. Several factors contributed to this progression: a sedentary lifestyle, poor diet, the use of a large number of animal proteins, refined foods, and alcohol abuse. Among young women, constipation is often caused by many diets, which they often get addicted to, having a desire to lose weight.

Proper nutritional adjustment is one of the most effective means in the fight against constipation. The diet recommended for constipation is both a preventative measure and a therapeutic one aimed at eliminating this problem.

A bit about fiber

According to world medical statistics, people who consume fiber-rich foods every day practically do not face the problem of constipation. In addition, fiber-rich foods significantly reduce the risk of colon cancer. The secret of fiber is that dietary fiber is partially digested by intestinal microflora, fiber absorbs a huge amount of water, which perfectly increases the amount of feces, significantly reducing the risk of constipation. Retina-rich foods include bran cereals, raw vegetables and fruits. Therefore, people suffering from constipation, as well as prevention, are advised to avoid refined foods and switch to wholemeal bread.

Drinking water to fight constipation

For good health and the treatment of constipation, a person needs to consume at least 2 liters of water per day, unless, of course, he has healthy kidneys and does not suffer from edema. You can prepare a decoction of useful herbs that help to cope with constipation, for example, chamomile, mountain ash or green tea, but it is important to remember that the body always needs a daily intake of ordinary clean drinking water. It is highly recommended not to use sweet carbonated drinks.

Power modes

With constipation, a person is recommended to eat fractional food instead of three meals a day – at least 4-6 times a day, in which, in general, he should consume the same amount of food. Food will bring more benefits in raw form or at least in the absence of lengthy cooking.
