Fruit nutrition is one of the directions of the vegetarian diet, that is, nutrition that does not involve the use of animal products. Eating fruits is a very, very strict direction of vegetarianism, since with such a diet it is forbidden to eat dairy products, eggs, cheese, honey, and even fish. In other words, eating fruits is eating only fruits. Eating fruits in this regard can be compared with a raw food diet, since with such a diet you can only eat raw, unprocessed fruits.
Of course, few men dare to adhere to such a diet, but among the fairer sex, especially those who are obsessed with diets, eating fruits is quite popular. Among the advantages of eating fruits is the elimination of excess weight and maintaining a figure in shape. Fruit nutrition is especially important in the spring months, when, after winter, the fair sex finds unnecessary bulges and folds on their bodies.
Cold weather, a sedentary lifestyle and festive feasts “reward” the body with a few extra pounds, which, as a rule, are located on the sides, on the hips and buttocks, and other problem areas. The task of eating fruits is to bring the figure back to normal.
However, not everything is so simple, and before you start observing this principle of nutrition, you need to figure out what fruits are and how to eat them properly.
All fruits can be divided into three categories – fruits with stones, fruits with seeds and citrus fruits. Different fruits have different energy value and calorie content. It depends on how many carbohydrates are contained in each fruit, how many trace elements and vitamins are included in its composition. The peculiarity of fruit nutrition is that each fruit has its own calorie content, and the calorie content of the same fruit depends on how ripe it is, where it grew and other conditions. Fruits practically do not contain protein, but they include carbohydrates in large quantities – sucrose, glucose, fructose. Each type of fruit has its own set of carbohydrates, for example, citrus fruits mainly contain sucrose, fruits with seeds contain glucose, and fruits with seeds contain fructose.
The opinion that fruits are non-caloric foods is incorrect. Proof of this is, for example, the fact that many large primates eat only fruits, and many weigh up to two hundred and fifty kilograms. The calorie winners are bananas. At the same time, dried bananas are even more high-calorie than fresh ones. In addition to bananas, there are a lot of calories in grapes, especially in red varieties. In this regard, the question arises – is it possible to eat fruits and part with excess weight. Unfortunately, the carbohydrates contained in these fruits have a weaker ability to saturate the body than protein-rich foods such as meat or fish. In addition, fruits stimulate the appetite, which is also not good for people on a diet, as you can break it off.
However, once you decide to eat fruit, you need to carefully consider gradual weight loss while maintaining your ability to work. For smooth weight loss on fruits, you need at least four kilograms of apricots or three kilograms of apples. In addition to a fairly significant amount of food, the body will have to cope with the digestion of plant fiber, since incomplete digestion causes problems with the digestive tract. The absence of protein foods in the daily menu is reflected in the condition of the skin – stretch marks and wrinkles appear. In this regard, it is better to plan a less strict and rigid diet, where all the necessary nutrients will be included in the correct proportions.
