Any diet has its own negative consequences for the body. This, of course, is not about specialized therapeutic diets. The latter are specially designed to make it easier for the patient who is prescribed this diet to recover from any disease. Speaking about the dangers of diets, we assume newfangled dietary schemes, which in many cases are not supported by anything rational. There are a lot of such diets-this is a protein diet, glasses and cheese, a diet of ballerinas, etc.
The specificity of such dietary schemes is that they are designed for rapid weight loss in a very short time. In fact, the faster the extra pounds go, the faster they will return, and the more ” persistent “the” new ” excess weight will be.
A huge disadvantage of fast diets is that their essence is the complete exclusion of certain foods from the diet. For this reason, a person who is going to follow a strict diet is forced to literally overdo it in order to withstand the entire scheme and not break down at the end of the diet. However, as a result, the torments that a person experiences on a diet are fruitless.
As an example, consider a group of low-carb diets. Such dietary schemes involve the complete exclusion of carbohydrate foods from the diet. People who follow such diets lose weight, believing that this eliminates fat from their body. Meanwhile, things are very different. A certain amount of fat, of course, goes away when following such a diet. But, first of all, it happens very slowly. And secondly, after the end of the diet, fat is gained at twice the rate. This feature is, as already mentioned, a common feature of all diets designed for a short time. In the process of dieting, the human body quickly adjusts to a new diet, and calories begin to burn less actively. Accordingly, after such strict diets, a person returns to normal eating habits. But the body, set up for slow calorie burning, does not have time to adjust so quickly, which leads to rapid weight gain, especially in the first time after the end of the diet.
It should be clearly understood that fast unbalanced diets will not lead to a stable desired result. In other words, you can achieve significant and stable weight loss only if you follow a diet throughout your life. But this already belongs to the category of changing gastronomic habits.
What else is dangerous about dieting?
The brain, deprived of the necessary glucose, can suffer. This, in turn, can manifest itself in neurological and mental disorders. And these are not empty words. Glucose is a necessary substance for the proper functioning of the brain. In the absence of a sufficient amount of glucose in the food consumed, brain starvation begins to develop. In other words, it eventually ceases to perform the functions assigned to it.
What are the dangers of alternative diets?
There is no doubt that strict and short diets are harmful. But what then should a person who wants to lose weight do? What alternatives do strict dieters have? The only correct solution in this situation, according to most nutritionists, is to change your diet in such a way that a person can easily adhere to certain rules throughout life. Of course, an instant result in relation to rapid weight loss with this approach will not be possible to get. But over time, it will be noticeable how the figure tightens and the body heals.
